Winter School applications until 16 April

Although the call for papers for the conference is now closed, we are still accepting applications for the Utrecht Winter School on Earth System Governance that will be held just prior to the conference (31 October – 4 November 2018). Confirmed speakers include Prof Oran Young, Prof Maarten Hajer, Prof Louis Lebel, Prof Derk Loorbach and Dr Aarti Gupta. See here for a full list of speakers and information on how to apply. Deadline Call for Papers Extended to 21 March

Following a request by earth system governance researchers in the UK, who are on strike, we have decided to extend the deadline for submissions of abstracts to the 2018 Utrecht Conference on Earth System Governance.

New deadline: 24:00 CET, 21 March 2018.

ACUNS Podcast with Conference Co-Chair Agni Kalfagianni

The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) published a podcast interview with Agni Kalfagianni (Utrecht University), the co-chair of the 2018 Utrecht Conference on Earth System Governance. This podcast, hosted by the executive director of ACUNS, Alistair Edgar, discusses the upcoming conference and winter school as well as the work of the New Directions Initiative of which Agni Kalfagianni is a Coordinating Lead Author.

ACUNS is a global professional association of educational and research institutions, individual scholars, and practitioners active in the work and study of the United Nations, multilateral relations, global governance, and international cooperation.
