Lorraine Elliot

Lorraine Elliot is professor at the Australian National University, Australia. Her research focuses on global governance and human security, transnational environmental crime, regional environmental governance in Southeast Asia, environmental security, climate security and human security (with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific), including food security and climate migration. She also has research interests in the UN system, and in environmental ethics, particularly global environmental ethics. She currently chairs the international Board of the Academic Council on the UN System. She is one of two Vice Chairs for the Asia Pacific region of the International Studies Association, adjunct faculty in the Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security and Global Governance at the McCormack Graduate School at the University of Massachusetts Boston and a member of the international Advisory Committee for the Platform on Disaster Displacement. She is also an associate of the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation at the University of Warwick and the Institute of Asia and Pacific Studies at the University of Nottingham. Elliot is a member of the Lead Faculty of the Earth System Governance Project.
